SARAMANT-Cemented Carbide
to reduce the wear when injection
moulding plastics

Since 1985 we have used injection moulding tools with a constantly increasing success in the plastics industry.

The growing demand of the market for specific and improved properties of the plastics have led to a high wear rate of the injection tools, especially when injection moulding plastics with a high rate of filler material, of oxide ceramics, permanent magnets, thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics.

A typical illustration of the difficulties involved is the injection moulding of ceramic parts where the steel screw and the steel cylinders wear rapidly due to the high abrasion. Metallic particles get mixed up with the ceramic moulding material provoking by using cemented carbide tools.

Our practical experience has shown that it is most profitable to use cemented carbide tools in mainly corrosive and abrasive conditions.

A further major advantage lies in the fact that there is no need to change the parameters of the injection moulding machine when using cemented carbide tools.
